Industrial Burnishing Compounds

Burnishing compounds are used to achieve certain brightness levels in metals in a mass finishing process.  Therefore, compounds for burnishing should be compatible with the mass finishing equipment and media for an efficient application.

Our solutions are available in the following packaging sizes:

  • 5-gallon pails
  • 55-gallon drums
  • 300-gallon totes

How To Choose Burnishing Compounds for Mass Finishing?

To get the right finish on your part in a mass finishing operation, the right deburring and burnishing compound must be used.  Deburring compounds are used to smoothen the part and remove unwanted metals left over from machining and other operations.  Burnishing compounds are acid solutions used to give a bright finish to the part and to develop additional colors.

Deburring & burnishing compounds should be compatible with:

  • The substrate (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper)
  • Mass Finishing Equipment (vibratory, centrifugal, barrel)
  • Soil being removed (Oil, grease, cutting fluids)
  • Media Used
