Industrial strength water-based rust preventatives provide superior aqueous corrosion resistance and are environmentally friendly.  Therefore, water-based rust preventatives are crucial to protecting the part in preparation for industrial metal finishing applications.

QC 1030 C

  • This solution is a low foaming, water soluble, corrosion inhibitor that is designed for use on steel and iron in various metalworking applications.
  • Provides humidity cabinet protection
  • The performance properties of QC 1030C Inhibitor are not affected by water hardness, and aqueous films dry down to non-tacky residues

Usage:

QC 1030C Inhibitor can be used in final water rinses to provide corrosion protection.

This product can be used at ambient or elevated temperatures up to 170° F to facilitate drying of parts.

QC 1030C Inhibitor can also be added to tumbling compounds to provide in-process corrosion protection.

QC 1030C Inhibitor is used between 1% and 20% by volume in water (2% to 10% by volume is typical).

QC 1208 Inhibitor

  • Low foaming, water soluble, corrosion inhibitor that is designed for use on steel and iron in various metalworking applications
  • This solution will passivate steel surfaces due to the selected corrosion inhibitors
  • QC 1208 Inhibitor can be used as a final rinse after plating, cleaning, pickling, phosphating, black oxidizing, tumbling, wet grinding, heat treating, or general machine shop use between operations
  •  Does not contain any nitrates

Usage:

QC 1208 Inhibitor can be used in final water rinses to provide corrosion protection.

This product can be used at ambient or elevated temperatures up to 140° F to facilitate drying of parts.

QC 1208 Inhibitor can also be added to tumbling compounds to provide in-process corrosion protection.

QC 1208 Inhibitor is used at 1% to 10% by volume in water (2% to 3% is typical).

  • The performance properties of QC Rust Preventative-NW are not affected by water hardness, and the aqueous films dry down to non-tacky residues
  • Sodium nitrite based product

Usage:

QC Rust Preventative-NW can be used in final water rinses to provide corrosion protection.

This product can be used at ambient or elevated temperatures up to 160° F to facilitate drying of parts.

QC Rust PreventativeNW can also be added to tumbling compounds to provide in-process corrosion protection.

QC Rust Preventative-NW is used at 0.5% to 15% by volume in water (1% to 5% is typical).
